Potato Head Collection: Seeds of Life

The Seeds of Life collection starts in the soil.
This collection spans prints and tees that become wardrobe staples, sitting alongside structured pieces that honour the dedication of local craftsmen.

Seeds of Life represents both sides of Potato Head Bali: our connection to local traditions and to the wider world. A medley that honours the then and now.

Batik is a legacy that transcends time.

The Parang motif is one of the oldest patterns in Javanese batik. A sword-like, diagonal wave that repeats without interruption, representing the balance of strength and resilience.
Alongside it, Aksara Bali: the ancient script of the island we call home, a written language that has carried prayers and poetry for centuries.

In this collection, these two heritages meet in a reimagined pattern with familiar silhouettes – designed and crafted for those who wear their curiosity.

Different cuts and styles, same ancient craft.

Its earthen colours come from mangrove bark, jolawe nuts, and tunjung (iron-rich water): natural dyes sourced through a process that takes time, because good things always do.

The motifs woven through each piece draw from Aksara Bali and the Javanese Parang pattern, honouring the roots of the archipelago that we call home. “Seeds of Life” symbolism is embroidered throughout, with the Potato Head name woven in seamless harmony into the ancient patterns.

Not every stitch is made equal.

Most embroidery today is fed through factory machines, fast and uniform. Each piece in this collection is embroidered on manual sewing machines, guided by human hands that slow down where automation would rush. The result: intentional imperfections, textured stitchings, and a feel that grows softer with every wear.

The motifs – inspired by the Seeds of Life symbolism woven throughout this collection – are placed with purpose.

A chest pocket.
A sleeve.
A hem.

Small moments stitched with pride and intention.

No two pieces are the same, and that is the point.

The colours in this collection come from the soil: mangrove bark, jolawe nuts, and tunjung (iron-rich water that seals each hue into the fabric).

Each piece carries its own unique pattern of colour – its own story of how it came to be. Every hoodie, long sleeve, and tee was made by practicing patience, craft, and authenticity.

The earth doesn’t rush, and neither do we.
